Speed Pockets lesson two
This is a continuation of the Lesson one that we put out several weeks ago. It further adds to your arsenal of “Speed Pockets†that you can use to knit a ride together. Below is a sample mp3 audio file of the licks you will learn.
SAMPLE HERE
$30.00 plus $2.00 S&H. Please email or PM me if interested.
Lesson one is still available at this link.

Speed Pockets
E9th speed picking-Nashville style
Lesson two
By Ron Hogan
Included are two separate lessons on E9th, each on the pockets to play over a one chord. Each one is a speed pocket lick as used by many Nashville players.
These lessons are the same as a student would take one on one with me in Nashville. They teach the patterns that can be used over many songs. Each phrase can be knitted together to use with all types of songs and various chord structures.
We have included the:
Noted tablature
Actual samples of the licks played over a rhythm track at full speed.
One lick is a descending lick. The second lick is an ascending. We’ve added the lick also broken down in audio sections too.
Three rhythm tracks, each at different speeds allowing you to practice building your muscle memory.
Plus, a bonus lick taught in audio.
The E9th tuning used is what every player uses. A, B & C pedals plus two knee lever that lowers your second string a half tone and the E’s a half tone. My knee lever is noted as RL to lower the E’s. RR ½ to lower the 2nd string a half tone.

Hey! In the video I noticed the PBR. Is it okay if I opt for a cold Shiner Bock? _________________ Lee, from South Texas - Down On The Rio Grande
There are only two options as I see it.
Either I'm right, or there is a sinister conspiracy to conceal the fact that I'm right.

Lee,
LOL! You have good eyes.
The lesson calls for a COLD PBR. Not sure if you'd sound the same with a different brand!
