I was looking at a Regal squareneck in a pawnshop today. I didn;t see a serial # but it looked like it had some age on it and sounded pretty good. It had a slotted peg head and the logo had San Francisco under the Regal name. Can anyone identify this guitar and if so any idea what it's worth?

Google can be your best friend. Use it next time and the info pops right up.

But to save time - That's a cheap recent import. Vintage Regals were made in Chicago.

What did you compare the sound to? Unless you're an experienced player it's virtually impossible to identify "pretty good" resonator tone from a guitar by itself. Did you have picks and a bar? If not there's absolutely no way to tell.

Regardless - inexpensive Asian import. Most sell for $200-350 (and IMO you can go better for a small increase in $$). Better Regal vintage models $1500 and up.
