Steel is sold pending receipt of funds.
Donation on the way to the forum after funds are received.

Thank you bOb for having this medium for us to buy/sell product. You are a GEM.

After my recent back procedure, I have decided that this guitar is just a little too heavy for me now and I shutter at the thought of leaving it set up at the club.

So I have decided to sell one of my 3 steels and this is the one.
It is a 1989 Zumsteel (Rosewood). 8 pedals 6 knees
Before I received this steel from a friend in 2016, it was a one owner and was only played at home. Then it sat for 10 years, unplayed.
If you remember, when I received it, it was all gummed up and not playable. With Bruce Zumsteg's help (and parts), I completely took this steel apart and rebuilt from the ground up.
It is absolutely a dream steel. It plays smooth as butter and has a tone to die for. Doug Jernigan said it was the best sounding Zum he had ever heard.

Here are pictures and copedent, plus a list of extra parts that are included:

and finally a picture of Wayne Dahl playing my Zum at the TSGA show in the Peavey room last year

The Zum is at least a 9-1/2 out of 10 and the case is about a 9 (some cosmetic damage on the edges).

Price is FIRM at $4500.00 US Plus Shipping/Insurance
I will either pack myself or pay to have it packed.

Check or MO. For PayPal or Credit Card ADD $150 to cover fees.

I would be willing to drive about 100 miles to meet you if you want to avoid shipping.

Someone is going to get a Dream Steel.

Thanks for looking,

Bill Ferguson

The "Open Range, Prime Beef" of Zim build era..IMHO. Free of club-smoke residue too!

Billy, thanks for the trade offer, but I already have 2 other steels and if I buy a single neck, it would for sure be a Mullen.

Thanks Mickey.

I have had several "low ball" offers and offers to trade, but I am firm on this one.

If I can't get what it's worth, I will keep it.

But someone will get a FINE steel.

Time for a bump.

Don't miss this rare opportunity to own a great Zum just waiting to make music with you.
