I get a ton of hum when I plug into the #1 input jack on my NV 400. When I switch to jack #2 it's gone. Sound is good in either. Can anyone tell me why? |

Jack 1 is the "normal" input and for most guitars. Jack 2 is for some (limited) devices/guitars that have a higher signal level input and Jack 2 drops the signal level for processing. If you have hum on 1 you still have it on 2 just a lower level. First thing to do is get rid of the hum, is it a "ground loop" hum from some effects? _________________ GFI Ultra Keyless S-10 with pad (Black of course) TB202 amp, Hilton VP, Steelers Choice sidekick seat, SIT Strings

Ok, that helps a lot. I go straight from guitar to Hilton VP to amp. Unplugging the Hilton from the guitar changes nothing, so I suspect it may be a cable or the Hilton. |

It's a Zum Stage One, I think it's a single coil. Not sure though... |
