Anyone know of a source for white based spatter paint with blue or green spatter? Like on the underside of some sho-buds.
The only thing I've found in auto stores is gray or black base.
Thanks |

Thanks Tommy. I hadn't thought of that. I'll give NAPA a try. |

Steve, if you can't find the color you want you can paint a base coat of white, grey or whatever you wish then you can spatter the green or blue with a brush thru screen wire. You tap loaded brush against a stick and sling the paint thru the screen. You should first experiment with the texture or thickness of the spatter paint to learn how to get the effect you want. You can put as much or as little spatter as you wish.

If you have a compressor, and either an airbrush or detail gun if you use a low psi like 5 psi it should spatter. |

Find a paint store that carries Zolatone or Multispec. That's the finish you're describing. They should be able to locate something close in the current color charts - but the stuff is tough to apply unless you have extensive experience with conventional (air-operated) spray equipment. |

The paint is primarily a trunk paint for automobiles and larger auto parts stores stock it in a spray can so the only problem might be in getting the color you want.

That's why I suggested the "bulk" versions - more colors available. Limited in howw you can do the spatter pattern out of a spray can as well. |

This type of paint is toxic, be carefull and use lots of fresh air. I did whole houses with this paint back in the 60 s, and had to use a fresh air hood.
One of our formen did not think he needed the hood, we got him to the hospital just in time.
beware.

Thanks guys. I found what I wanted at WalMart. Who'd A Thunk It.
Now if If I could just find a right side end plate for my LDG, I'd be set. Tried all the known sources already. Nobody has one. Gonna have to get Coop to make it I guess.
