| You are indeed correct, Francisco. Looks like the pickup is screwed down tight so the strings pass above the magnets instead of through them. Definitely not the preferred setup to get the most out of a Bakelite. Would be interesting to hear how it sounds set up that way. |

Before seeing this, I had already messaged the seller about the pickup setup. Seems like a nice guy, but his response also talked about how his luthier had leveled and polished the frets for optimal playability.

I think his Luthier took a mail order course and didn't pay all the postage!

Now I'm wondering...if he really had a luthier dress the frets, he would have noticed how high the nut is and filed that down to?
To make it a playable action?
