This weekend on Sirius is a preview of the new Dwight Yoakum channel 'Bakersfield Beat', check it out is playing now on channel 58-Prime Country. Plays through till early monday am.

I stumbled across it on my way to the post office this morning. Turned on 58 and heard Wynn Stewart. HUH?

Any word when and on what channel it will go full time?

Still does not appear to be up and running. Maybe they were testing the waters, and we should flood them with inquiries.

They had it on the sound system at my part-time job (Rural King, large farm-friendly discount store). The younger employees moaned and b*****d all day. I guess they prefer that "drive your pickup to the lake and drink" genre'.
