Well, years ago my first great amp was a Standell, with two EV 12" SRO's...

When that was stolen I got a new Session 500 (still got that one)....

My, how the years go by....

Now I've pre-ordered an amp that is: 8 1/2" X 3" X 6/ 1/2".....

Ha ha, of course I'm connecting it to a Black Widow 1502!

Some things never change.

Tim, I'm ordering this simply on the reputation you've built on this forum... all real nice equipment.

Can't wait.

I'll post my comments after I put the little rascal into action... shipping is set for may 25th.

You won't go wrong with a Milkman Amp. I have a Half & Half with a 15" Telonics speaker for 3 1/2 years now. Best amp I ever had. I read someplace that the Amp you ordered is very close in sound to my amp. Let us know how it sounds when you get it. Jim

Hey Dave,

Long time no see!

I was seriously considering pre-ordering one of those but I ended up getting a Half and Half combo in a trade. I'm definitely planning on picking up an amp pedal at some point down the road.

Would be perfect to mount on a pedal board.

Let me know if you have any gigs up my way, would love to hear you play again.

Joe

awesome thanks David!

It happens to sound great with pedal steel - you will love it Smile

I am recording some pedal steel demos next week, and I will be sure to post them here on the forum for those who are curious about this product.

Pretty exciting, my back can't wait Smile

Thanks for the nice comments about the other Milkman amps.

Hi Joseph! You can find a calendar for our band at the URL listed in my forum "signature". For outdoor gigs and the casinos I'll be using my Quilter, plus my "new" external Black Widow cab (it just fit in an empty Nashville 1-12 cabinet)... that's a real nice sound.

All other gigs will be the Milkman amp, with the BW cab (that is when it comes Smile ).

I'd love to catch your performance as well, it's been years! All the best.

I can’t say enough good things about the custom Sideman Head that Tim made for me last fall. I use it with a 15” Telonics in a light weight pine cabinet and I stopped using any “practice” amps at rehearsals: I can’t play through anything else. It forced me to get a very high quality, large diaphragm mic for gigs because the cheap mics I’d been using did not come close to capturing the tone range and subtle dynamics of my ‘74 Emmons PP through this amp. My dopomine levels kick in every time I sit down to play.

I should have those videos posted by the end of the week. The Amp did really well with the pedal steel! We used my 10 String Emmons with a Tonealigner pickup into a 1x12 cab, and also direct via the XLR output.

I'm building a single 12" cab with a JBL so I'll be ready when I get mine.
