So I made up a new batch of tuning peg winders. Delrin and brass and a novel way of achieving the pivot makes these indistructable. They will last many lifetimes.
Kinda expensive but hand made in the USA. $35.00 includes 1st class shipping.
See my perevious post for pictures and details:

Folks,
When you PM me, state if you prefer to use Paypal or send me a check.
Paypal - State your e-mail address so I can send you a $ request, and state your physical addresss.
Check - State only your physical address. I'll reply with mine.
The standard "small" winder fits 99% of the PSG's including the butterfly Klusons like you find on an Emmons. I can provide the next size up but I don't stock them so there may be a wait.
The standard fits a key up to 0.625" across the widest point. |

Not sure Dave. I have three sizes. The slot in the winder is a pair of semicircles on each end connected by a pair of straight lines. The width of the slot is always 0.375 inches. In other words a 0.375" round end mill scribes the slot in a straight line. The The widest dimension of the slot is as follows: small = 0.75", medium = 0.875", large is 1". Measure the extreme width and i'll send you the correct winder. |

just received Jim’s string winder, my plastic one broke so I ordered one from Jim...as soon as you pick this little string winder up, you can feel the quality, Jim’s winder is solid, heavy, smooth, and feels great in hand, and works great... unlike the cheap plastic winders that break all the time, the Jim’s winder is a handmade high quality product that looks and feels like it will last a long long time... if you don’t have one already, do yourself a favor and get you one...

Jim, would you consider maker a winder for us keyless owners? A winder with a ball head allen wrench would certainly save us tons of time. |
