Don't know anything about it, saw it just posted.
I like the sneeze guard, like at a salad bar....

I think that sneeze guard is a fold down music stand.

I knew I had seen one before. Is this another Basketweave Emmons or the same one recently posted for sale?

In my opinion I think this guitar was a mica originally and some one converted it to a BW....thanks jack

There was some discussion years ago about a basket weave Emmons that was converted to a plain mica.
I saw the guitar after it was converted.
The steeler with Janie Fricke was playing it.
I believe it was Billy McCoy.

It's definitely the same guitar. But now it is rare and special and has a mystery price that you must email for, and "only serious buyers", which means the price will be way too much. Funny how everyone is ooh-ing and aah-ing over it now in the for sale thread vs. the comments here a couple of weeks ago when it was just a salad bar with a sneeze guard for $800. Same guitar.

Seems as though removing the sneeze guard would leave holes in the front apron where the hinges were screwed on. The one in the thread doesn’t appear to have any, but it’s a bit hard to tell for sure...

They're there if you look closely. Look where the screws are relative to the logo. There's another blemish in the middle of the apron around the 17th fret that matches up too, rusty legs. It's been prettied up a little since, but looks like it probably still needs some serious TLC.

This guitar is a good candidate for a full bore tear down and gut job. Maybe Mark can take some super close-ups of the damaged aprons from screws etc? And any cracks or drill holes in cabinet?

Hah... I totally missed this posting. When I saw the $800 in the title, I assumed it was going to be a student model.
Sneeze guard!? What the hey?...
I still think it's a cool guitar.
