Lots of great steel playing on this! Who may the steel player be? My guess is Buddy Emmons.

Great steel, but I don't think it's Emmons, who was most likely in L.A. when this was done (1970). I can't find any information on the players, but if I had to guess I'd say a young Doug Jernigan. I've been wrong before (just ask my wife) so if anyone knows for sure I'd like to know.

I now too think that Doug Jernigan played. Mr. Emmons was in LA. There's a record (double album) I had which featured Jernigan and Vassar and David Bromberg. Anyone remember what's it called?
Yes, this is a nice one! _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

Clements and Jernigan did a Hillbilly Jazz recording, a little later in the 70's. |

There are some clements LP's on discogs that have Doug Jernigan playing steel on them. I bought one for a few bucks since I liked the video so much. Mid 70s stuff... _________________ Derby SD10, Peavey Session 400 |

I think that was Doug. Vassar was a close friend and one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I miss him a lot.
