My good friends at the TSGA have once again invited me to play their annual Steel Guitar Jamboree in Irving, TX, March 8-11! Albert and Debbie Talley, along with their great staff always go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. Great lineup as usual which includes a rare appearance from one of my heroes and mentors, Mr. Lloyd Green! Definitely will be one to remember.

Also, I will be giving a full day seminar March 8th and there are still seats available. Check out the link for all the info and please register early as seats tend to fill quickly the closer it gets. Hope to see you there!

Can you please give me some more details about the seminar? Who is it targeted for (newbies, advanced players) and how do I register for it? Finally, do you know if they have any other seminars available?

I've looked at the official website but can't tell see anything about the seminars (which would be my main reason for attending).

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

Kevin

Kevin, if you will go to the Texas Steel Guitar web page and to the Jamboree section, there is a copy of the TSGA Jamboree brochure. Right in the middle of the page is mention of 3 different classes. there is the Buck Reid seminar and couple of blocks below is a mention of a seminar for a non-pedal class and below that is mention of a class for beginners and a telephone number for information. Kevin,

The seminar will consist of primary pockets for major and minor chord applications, available chord voicings in each... and some single note concepts for tying them together.

Some players are just beginning and some are more experienced. There will be a question and answer segment in which will try to address concerns from everyone in order to provide something useful for all.

Hope this is helpful and hope to see you there!
