I bought a Emmons Steel,Single 10 p/p with pad and when I got it the strings were color coded on the nut end of each string, can anyone tell me who made these type strings or have any info about them, they really sound great, Shorty |

Hi Shorty. The strings are made by D'Addario. I would bet that they are the Pro Steels EPS490s. I have been using those the past few years and really like them. |

D'Addarios are the only strings I know of that are color coded. It's the ball ends that are colored.
They make a couple different sets. Pro Steels and the newer NYXL's that are getting a lot of chatter. Look at them here on b0b's strings button top of page. I think he has both sets. |

Just put on my second set of 490's this afternoon, soon as I changed out the pu to a 10-1. Excellent strings. |
