Just played a rehearsal through an old Yamaha G100-112.
Very, very good with the psg.
These can be had for really cheap, 150$ to 250$
Recommended!

Are these old Yamaha amps tube or solid state?

I've got one with a stock 15. It really is powerful and sounds great with my Desert Rose. Pretty heavy though.i paid $100 and it was like new.

Yeah, solid state. I agree, good for any type of clean, articulate tones. Actually, pretty good for guitar too, if you don't expect it to crunch and grind without some help in the way of some type of tube preamp. I had a 1-12 version years and years ago. Shocking how cheap they turn up. Sorta surprised they haven't caught on more with jazz guitar and steel players.

Great amps. I use my G50-112 for acoustic. Designed by Rivera.

I had one, and it sounded great, but it was so heavy that I could barely lift it.

I had a SS Yamaha in the early 90s, the VR series. Loved it. Can't figure out why I got rid of it. It would surely come in handy now. Lightweight (or maybe I was just younger) and had a very nice clean sound. Two identical channels. EQ section for each channel had 2 sweepable mids. Had it LONG before I ever even considered steel guitar. Wish I could get my hands on one. Used ones were super cheap, but they seem to have disappeared.

I had a G100 with a 15" speaker. Nice amp I've been looking at the 12's lately......

I believe this series uses a special FET circuit that actually has a really nice, somewhat more congenial kind of distortion for electric guitar. One that doesn't lose clarity as a highly saturated tube gain setting will. It was always a favorite of Larry Carlton who even paired it up onstage with his expensive Dumble.

When I was using this amp extensively I had a guitar with high output humbuckers and the combination sounded great. The speaker dampens harsh highs. That might help make it suitable for PSG.

Had 3, down to just one now. I liked to use an extension speaker box to round out the bottom end but yeah, killer amps.
