I saw this at the theatre when I was a young boy. I finally purchased this at Herby Wallace's shop/store. I never imagined that some years later I would actually be backing up some of these same performers. The acting by the original Bowery Boys was a little hokey, but the performances made up for the lack of acting. |

I have the 'full size theatre poster' hung on wall of my music room.....found it on eBay many years ago.
It's a great movie to watch and try to remember the names of all the stars. |

Questions:
There are two steelers that are frequently shown during this movie.
You can see them both at 15:20
One is backing up Little Jimmy Dickens, is wearing glasses, and has his red slacks tucked into his boots.
The other Steeler 'sits out' during Dickens' spot, and plays a red steel.
Anyone know who those fellahs might be?
Curious if the one wearing glasses could be Stu Bassore
PS - Pete Drake and his Talk Box are shown at 41:00 backing up Dottie West.
Thanks for any info you can provide. |

I believe that's Stuart Basore behind Little Jim. I can't put a name to the face of the other steeler.
The video that follows is, I believe Carl and Pearl Butler....some previous chatter here indicates that the other steel player is Howard White, but I can't say. |

Thanks so much for posting this. Many wonderful memories from this period, great music, talking steel guitar, classic instruments and amps, and Nudie Suits. |
