I'm new to the forum and no music background. I have a new Rouge RSL-1 6 string with amp and vol. peddle. I tried playing by ear, go ahead and laugh, is there an online C6 lesson you would suggest?
OK! I just made a fool of myself, please help

mostly Country

What style of music do you want to play with it?

I found that this page cut to the chase on a lot of the fundementals. http://www.planetgaa.com/C6/index.html

However, I had a bit of a music background before starting on steel, so I don't know if it'll all makes sense if you are coming into music from zero.

The Harmonized scales (link at the bottom of that page) are really the heart and soul of "that sound" that we are all striving for. Once you learn a few different harmonized scales, you'll be off to the races!

Yikes! I’m pretty sure it’s legit - I’ve never had an issue, but proceed at your own risk!

I was going to potentially recommend Troy's stuff too. I come from a non-country background (more focused on Hawaiian) but he seems to have stuff for both focuses. Even starting with the shortened versions he has for free on Youtube might get you an idea if it works well for you, or not...

+1 on Lessons With Troy. He takes it nice and slow, perfect for a beginner. Good camera angles and good explanations.
