I saw this late - really, all you need to do was measure the ends of the pickup leads to determine whether or not the pickup was working. And all this info is readily available on the internet as well.
FWIW if you want to have the pickup rewound check with Jerry Sentell at Sentell pickups (sentellpickups.net). he's done several steel and 6-string pickups for me with excellent results. He's also reasonably priced and fast. _________________ No chops, but great tone

Mike, I concur with Jim that Sentell is hard to beat. I have used at least a half-dozen of his lap steel pickups, and without fail they all sound wonderful. |

Jim -
Thanks for chiming in about Sentell.
As you can tell from what I wrote for Mike, I am of the "teach a man to fish" school rather than the "give a man a fish" school of thought. _________________ Excel D10 8&4, Supro 8, Regal resonator, Peavey Powerslide, homemade lap 12(a work in progress) |

I hope that doesn't mean DIY rewinds! _________________ No chops, but great tone
