LM English and I had the pleasure of meeting Damir on Thursday (28th). We drove up from Augusta, GA and we both came home with new (to us) guitars. Although we both have made previous deals with Damir, this is the first time we actually met him. Let me tell you, you won't find a nicer person to talk to and do business with. We had a great time checking out all his guitars. I know one thing, if I wouldn't have depleted my funds for Christmas, the SKH Sho-Bud would be sitting in my music room right now. The guitar is in great shape and is gig ready. It is good looking and the finish is in great condition. I believe it was originally blue and has faded to its present color of a greenish light brown. It looks really cool with the SKH and will make somebody very happy. If you want a Sho-Bud, this is the one to get. I've never seen one like this before. Also, don't forget, with the longer scale it will have really nice tone and substain. |

yours looks alot like mine without the rollers. Mine is a 76 with the wide pedals and same greenish brown. I had guessed mine would have been one of the first batches made because the date code shows to be early 76. I believe thats the year the Pro 3 started. Bump for a beautiful 'Bud. |

FWIW, I believe I bought the very first Pro-111 that arrived at the Richmond VA Sho-Bud dealer in 1974. It did have the wide pedals but it also had a round front body. I guess they were using up what they had in stock because the SKH Pro-111 with wide pedals that I now own has the square front like these. I have no way to prove this but I had just assumed they had an bunch of round front bodies with somewhat uninteresting wood hanging around so they made the first Pro-111s with those and painted them all in black lacquer. |
