I have a early black box from 2005. It served me extremely well on the road and in the studio. These early models take the 12AU7 tubes, so make sure to replace it with that if you decide to change the tube out as I have no idea how long the tube has been in there. The ground prong broke off the plug, but it has never effected the sound to my ears, and the knob is missing on the vari-z but that function works just fine. The blue light is also in great working order. 175 plus shipping takes it.

Hi Michael,
The black box is still available. There is probably a slight change in tone between the old and new ones, Brad Sarno would be able to explain much better then me the difference in tonal character, I have never owned a newer one.

I've decided to take your Black Box. Changing out the plug and the tube should be no problem

Hey Michael, I will be in touch with you via email PayPal. If you want to replace the plug that is fine. It works great with no hum just missing the ground prong. The tubes also work fine as well just old. I can definitely get you the black box once the PayPal goes through.
