I immediately heard the same thing and asked Byrd directly. He said he knew a lot of what Django had done but never heard of Nuages and wasn't influenced by it.

My favourite of all those is 12th Street Rag..Just because..

Did you use one of Sol's tunings for that (eg C#m7) or a more modern tuning? It's definitely a fun song (like its seemingly structurally-similar brother Fascinating Rhythm) but I've kept myself away from the more unique/older Ho'opi'i tunings for now, as a beginner... (patience, patience)
