That is an amazing collection!

I've owned a lot of those models of guitars, but never usually more than two at a time. The amps are very impressive, too.

Michael

Your collection is exceptional.....the Gibson Century and Ultratone really look terrific.

I am partial to the 1935,1936 National cast lap steels.

I think Michael Hogan has everyone beat. And we'd all like to know if your wife has a sister.

I am not sure this is appropriate to post here, since about half of these guitars have pedals. There are overlapping photos from different angles, so there aren't as many guitars as it would appear. And I probably should have removed the vinyl dust covers before shooting the photos. Oh well. The first photo is of my current rig which I use most often to play out with, the Ernie Ball Bigsby and a Fox Vintage 115 amp.

It could go either way, for me...just starting out with steel, either she will think "hey, two or three or four (etc) isn't THAT many, I suppose" or she will decide y'all are a corrupting influence on her husband and block the forum IP! Shocked Very Happy

My friend, Rob Lurvey, has the largest collection of steel guitars in the world. I have visited his warehouse and it is certainly an amazing collection. Here is a YouTube video published in 2011 and since that time he has purchased many more steels.

C.E: then maybe you can answer some questions we all have: is Lurvey married and have children and what does he do to be able to afford all those steels?
