PA Speaker Question

If I plug one JBL 8 Ohm Speaker into the PA and then Plug the second JBL 8 ohm speaker into the first one. (using only 1 side of amp). IS this a 16 Ohms load or a 4 Ohm? I have read till I'm totally confused.
