Hi all, I came across a photo book that was my fathers. He was always trying to learn steel guitar and he was an avid photographer. I scanned a some of pictures to share with everyone.
I can identify some of the players, but not all.

Enjoy!

Brings back lots of memories. Thanks. This was my second or third convention I believe. Sad to think that about half of the group photo has since passed on.

Priceless!

Looking at the amp behind Speedy...it appears to be one of the early Session 500s in the smaller cabinet.

That was my second convention. I lived in Kansas City and went over for Saturday.

(That is a small cabinet Session 500. I had one of those - the first one that the dealer in KC got it).

OK I think I recognize most of them, the fellow playing next to Jimmie Crawford is Weldon Myrick right?
The only one that really eludes me is the fellow with the cowboy hat playing what appears to be a really old MSA D-12, any guesses on who that is?

The late Jimmy Day on the blonde Sho-Bud.

I believe this is the same group shot where the players were identified in another thread. clickhere

GREAT individual photos; thankfully I can recognize all of the players! Interesting that your group photo has the SAME players in the same position as the group photo posted by Jack Stoner, labeled as 1980; slightly different photo, however.

Henry, I BELIEVE #1 (2nd Row) is Henry Strzelecki and #7 (Front Row) is Koos Biel but I'm not 100% sure if these are correct!
