Yeah, it was all about Ed Gaylord and his greed.
I worked at Opryland USA in 89 & 90 on the Country Music USA Show as the staff steel player when it was a working musical theme park.
Then he sold that and turned it into a fricking 'mall' for old people who visit his hotel property.

I worked a couple of conventions there, in the early 90's. I liked the HUGE indoor part with all the plants. That's not country music, though.

I live out here close to Ed’s old property, his big giant house is still there, but half of the section was sold off and turned into 15acre lots. Lots o’ rich folks building million dollar mansions out here, close to Old Route 66.
