Hey guys, just got my new GFI Ultra Keyless from Billy Coopers store. Running it through a Nashville 112, also from Billy's. I have a MCI D10 wood neck, and a Mullen
S10 G2, both sound and play fine. But this new GFI is the best playing and sounding steel I've got. It cuts right thru the other instruments clean and clear without a ton of volume. I'm going to add one more 112 so I can put one on each side of the stage.

The knee levers have a great feel. Good and solid. No give.

I have a GFI S12 U It is light and has become my out the door steel. GFI knee levers are solid, As the stop is on the lever bracket itself with a lock nut.

Wish I'd never sold mine. It was the only relatively modern steel I could get to do the 9+2 changes of Sneaky Pete's 8-string Fender. AND get close to the same tone. At about 1/3 the weight.

Plus the guys at GFI bent over backwards to help with the setup, figure out & supply needed parts etc etc. Great people, excellent guitars. If I was still able to gig I'd still be using it.

So Jim,was your GFI actually an 8? Do you have any pics of it to post? I'd love to know more. I have a 22_1/2" scale keyless Ultra S10 and an early S12 keyless. They sound great, play smooth and are light and compact.
