Jim,
The Stewart World 1.2 does not have, or use a cooling fan. Both Peavey amps do have cooling fans. Some are more noisier than others. The Stewart World has 200 watts per channel(2) at 8 ohms. Both Peavey amps are
two channel also. Manuals are downloadable for each amp.

I use my SW 1.2 in a vented 3 space rack, and have never had a problem with it over heating, and it has plenty of power.

The Stewart World is a pretty nice sounding class A/B amp. Good size and weight and plenty of power for steel needs.

The DPC is VERY EARLY class-D technology. To most discriminating ears, they are pretty awful, grainy, harsh, just not a pleasing tone compared to most amps. It wasn't till years later that various companies started finding ways to make class-D sound good. Now Class-D amplification is quite evolved and it's everywhere and it's pretty great sounding stuff in many cases. But the old DPC amps, not so much.

But they're pretty good at driving subwoofers.

The only place I use my DPC 750 is in a PA system.
