I have been playing my 115 and extension cabinet side by side since I got them. Today I moved the extension cabinet to the opposite side and WOW. What a difference. True stereo effect. All I can say is it is enjoyable to listen to. Even with my pickin mistakes. The 115 is great by itself---but in stereo it is awesome. |

I'm not sure if this is a politically-correct question but how much can these amps be bought for? Are there 'deals' yet?
I'm sure it's posted somewhere but what's the weight? I'm ready for a new amp and Peavey is surely a contender! _________________ Roger Rettig - Emmons D10s, Quilter TT-12, B-bender Teles and old Martins.

|
|
List is like $1795
I sell the amp for MAP which is $1399.99
Call me I will fill you in. The extension cabinet doubles the amp power to 500 Watts with a second completely different amp inside the Session. Like playing with 2 separate amps through 2 Peavey light weight black widow speakers, built in effects , reverbs, delay, chorus.
Weighs about 5 lbs more than the 112 (the amp). I have sold about 10-15 Sessions.

Warren,
I'm an amp junkie, and as such, I'm curious about the new 115.
Could you describe the difference you hear in the 115 vs. Teleonics using a more musical technical description ?
"Blows it out of the water" tells us only you prefer it. Can you tell us more specifically how or why ?
I don't doubt it's a great amp, one I'd like to know more about. Thanks for posting ! |

It is a great sounding amp in the Peavey tradition. True Stereo since when you add the extension cabinet you activate the second 250 watt amplifier giving you 500 watts through 2 separate amps. Clean tonality, has the purest tone I have heard with a great bass bottom end. You can get your tone in less than 2 minutes setting this amp versus some other amps you keep looking for your tone.

the difference when it comes to quality of sound is like hearing standard radio and HD radio its much clearer and defined with out being harsh. its like having a fine violin verses a 20.00 fiddle from a foreign country. I guess you could describe it as a musical instrument all its own verses a guitar from Walmart there was a demo video that I saw where the player had the knobs all turned every which way and it didn`t sound all that good. when it comes to this amp you have to remember the great Robert Randolph that's who the gain circuit was put in for along with a host of other Great gospel steelplayers so when you approach the amp the first time remember unless you are going to play that stile turn the gain section off. then start with the Eq knobs in the 12 oclock position and sweeten your sound from there. Before you start make shure the master volume is higher than the input volume I hope this helps. if any one has any questions about the effects section on the amp PM me your phone number and I will call you. |
