Make some coffee and give this a listen. Lloyd talks about all his different guitars. Recording on all the Country hits and playing on Sweethearts of the rodeo. Really in depth interview.

Really enjoyed this. So many things the musicians of today have never heard of and some of us older ones have forgotten.

Wow, that was great. Thank you! As Steve Dawson said in his wrap-up, "Well, that guy has done some things." It's a joy to hear the details, all of which he recalls perfectly. Lloyd's story about his early Hawaiian guitar lessons sheds some light on that. He offered to come back and do it again. No pretense. What a guy! The more I learn about Lloyd Green, the more I like and respect him. Glad to hear how much he is enjoying himself.

Let me second everything that has been said so far. Listening to Lloyd is always of interest and a learning process for me. Only topped by listening to him play! Smile

Kind Regards, Walter

As the Lloyd Green historians might have already noticed the recording of "The Bridge Washed Out" used in this interview is a later road version and not the original cut! The one featuring Lloyd that launched his amazing studio career and revolutionized the steel guitar sound on Nashville recordings can be found here:

Thanks, Alex!

I was listening to the interview only and skipped the music parts, but went back now and checked it out. Yes, that is not the original milestone recording that was used here but a later recording w/o Lloyd. Oh Well

Kind Regards, Walter
