Did anyone see the Mike Huckabee show last night on TBN? The show was out of Hendersonville, Tn. this was my first time to see it and only got to see the last half of it. Keith Bilbrey was the announcer and one of the guest was Ricky Scaggs with a full band. Ricky did the song Heart Broke and the steel player got some camera time. I did not get his name or see any credits so I don't know who he was. Does anyone know who he is, he was playing an Emmons. Huckabee played bass on the song.

Looks like Scott Sanders to me. If you've never heard of him, he's a killer player. He plays a lot of sessions in Nashville.

Mike, it's Trinity Broadcast Network. It's a Christian based network.

Scott Sanders played for the Hinson Family gospel group several years ago, and was a monster player even then. I think he was about 18 the first time I saw him.

He played steel on an Isaacs song several years ago that a trio I played for sang, and I never did get his licks down, I just stumbled through the best I could.

Recently added a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored blue Rose, named the "Blue Bird" to the herd. Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic again that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also added a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks.

It was Scott for sure. My wife and his daughter teach at the same elementary school and their Christmas party was last Friday, and I just now remembered she said he was playing with Ricky out at TBN on Huckabee that night. Scott is one of the coolest cats around and is a great person. Not to mention one of the tastiest steel guitarists!
