Back off the split screw at the right end of the neck. If that's not the problem, then you need to have more travel in the linkage...maybe loosen up the KL stop for that, but make sure the split screw is backed off enough first. The changer can't lower any further than that screw will allow.

From an earlier post with a similar issue. Be sure and back off the split screw for enough travel for the finger to reach the desired note. First thing to check on guitars that have splits and won't lower properly. |

| ...also be sure that you haven't overtuned the nylon while previously attempting to tune it. That will affect the changer so that the open tuning is out of neutral. |

| Jerry, one other thing...I have not felt my 2nd string 1/2 drop in a long time...full stop is fine...but no 1/2 stop in my rkr on my emmons 111...what could have happened ?? hope you are not busy....tom |

Don't know if your Emmons has a dedicated half stop mechanism on the guitar...but either way, you can follow b0b's method in the first post to tune it and also to adjust the rate of feel.
It's been a while, but this is the method I used on the guitar in the photo there...as far as I can remember.

| in reading all the post on that 2nd string 1/2 drop...I realize I am way over my head here...I have spent 99% of my 47 years as a steel player, on top of my guitar...hardly ever underneath...I guess it's catching up with me now...I see if I continue to play that lick by ear, I want be alone....thanks for your time and help...MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and the family...tom |
