I find the sound of Sam Koki's Paradise Island Trio to be one of the more interesting small group sounds leading up to the '40s. Sam Koki playing steel, Erwin Yeo at the organ, and Russ Magnus on the vibraphone - combining for an ethereal, fascinating sound.

Probably just my affinity for all three instruments... I could understand if anybody found this to be tacky, but I think it's wonderful.

Of course it's tacky - that's part of the charm of this sort of music sub-genre. Thanks for posting.
