I call this slow blues because of the tempo, however it probably sounds pretty up tempo with the way I approach it. Check it out.

Zane,

You should have been in the Crossroads movie cutting heads with Steve Vai (rather than Ralph Macchio (or Ry Cooder who actually did the guitar parts). Steel versus 6-string...that would have been something.

I hope Robert Randolph sees this video!

Hope to see you in Dallas in March!

Don

Is he playing that on E9 or his own sequencial tuning?

Always good to hear from your Chris!

Joachim - LOL. The trick to playing speed like that starts by not moving the hand very much at all. If you notice my picks are bent at like a 90 degree angle. Thus, the strokes of picking the string is very small. I think when you study guys like Doug Jernigan you will see that the movement in the right hand is little. I have some You Tube videos on this approach.

Don - always great to hear from you friend. I hope to get back down to Dallas. Always love just hanging out there. I appreciate your comments a ton. Your encouragement means a lot to me.

Manny - this is on my E 6/9 tuning. Sequencial is a good word for it. There are You Tube videos of the tuning.
