Roger Trahan drove Andrea & Harry Teachman and yours truly to see Chris Brooks playing at the Parlor in Providence, RI with the band "Western Stars" on Friday 11/3. As I said in a previous thread, hearing Western Swing music in RI is a real treat. Then on Sunday 11/5 the Tiverton RI VFW featured the band "4`s Country" with Harry Teachman on steel. They are an excellant band and Harry was the "frosting on the cake". We are looking forward to next Sunday 11/12 for the PSGA Show in Norwalk. |

Thanks, Roger, for the ride down and back, and thanks again guys for having the Mrs. and I along.
Andrea and I really enjoyed hearing "Western Stars" with Chris Brooks at the "Parlour" in East Providence, RI. The girl that sang with them (sorry, I forgot her name ), was fantastic !!! Of course, Chris was fantastic on pedal steel !!!Good Stuff !!!!! Gonna have to catch them again !!!!! |

Harry, I`m going to charge you $5.00 for that message. The "exciting weekend" included two other steel events.
1. 11/3 Chris Brooks at the Parlour
2. 11/4 Yours truly at the Warren, R.I Senior Center.
3. 11/5(1-5pm) Lenny Amaral playing a benefit at Diman Vocational High School in Fall River, Mass. Lenny`s C6 playing,(actually B6), and his nice silky tone really impressed me.
4. 11/5(6-10pm) Harry Teachman/Tiverton VFW. |
