Just crank the knobs until you find something you like. |

Settings vary depending on volume level, the size and makeup of the band (if you play live) and each specific room it's used in.
Tone settings alone can vary significantly depending on whether or not there is carpet vs hard floors, parallel vs asymmetrical walls, glass windows, people in seats, types of seating (or furniture), acoustic/flat/vaulted ceilings etc etc.
There really aren't "settings" that can be ported from player to player unless situations/environments are relatively similar - the advice to tweak the knobs until you find a sound you like is best - there's not that much to adjust. _________________ No chops, but great tone

I'd be pretty surprised if the preamps were very different. But they may be.

I gave my son the 60 but still have the 80XL. The Cube60 actually sounds better than the Cube80 or X. As Dick mentioned, I believe the pre's to be quite similar so settings should be close to an 80xl. I use the JC side for clean steel and have been using the lead side for a bit of distortion/overdrive with the amp models. Start off with the controls straight up and tweak from there. I use the plate reverb setting along with a touch 280ms of delay about 10 o'clock. Pretty versatile amp for easy in/out and home practice. |
