It appears to have 3 knee levers that are not Emmons parts but it is hard to tell.

The pawnshop that listed the guitar obviously had little or no expertise with pedal steels. A handful of photos of the guitar, with several of its case, just doesn't make sense.

Looks like a factory 8x2. Despite additional funky knee levers, it looks like a nice guitar.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Sometimes people have a gun to their head to come up with money fast and not a thing wrong with the instrument. If you like to make money are simply buy bargains you need to check all sources when you wake up and before you go to bed. After I had my bone marrow transplant I had to buy two little bitty bottles of this yellow gunk to prevent a rare form of pneumonia that is 95% fatal if you get it. The two bottles were each the size of the smallest pocket size Gorrilla glue dispenser. The two bottles totalled $4500.00 Fortunately I had some money in reserve. It was either that or risk dying. My bills to treat AML leukemia and a bone marrow transplant plus treating the next two years of complications from GVHD (graft vs. host disease) were right at 2 million dollars. Sometimes sellers are not dumb they just need the money fast and price it for quick sell.

Maybe the OP was referring to the non-Emmons-Atom fretboards?
