Hey, all!
I need a good stand for my lap steel. Currently, I'm playing a Oahu Tonemaster and I just can't get comfortable playing with it on my lap for any length of time. Suggestions? I've seen some on eBay, but they're all close to $200.
Is that really what they cost?
Thanks, gang,

This is what I use, a keyboard stand.
$60 at Amazon. It is sturdy, it folds up and it is height adjustable.
I modified the leg locking mechanism so I could mount one of Tom Bradshaw's Tab Racks to it.
I also covered a wood plank with rubber shelving to set the guitar on so it doesn't slide around. (Get it? Sliiiiide around?)
