I just wanted to let all the forum brothers and sisters know about a very cool event that will be happening at The University of Illinois - Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.
Miss Letritia's famed Grand Letar will be the subject of a lecture by music historian Scott Schwartz. Scott will be interviewing forum brother and steel guitar expert Paul Warnik as part of the Ellnora Guitar Festival. Yours truly will be demonstrating the Grand Letar and the Little Letar. Here's a link with info about the event:

If you are at all interested is history of our beloved instrument, this is the bomb.
Hope to see some friendly forum faces at the event - Friday September 15 at 1:15PM
Oh and one more thing...the guitar festival is really good. I'll post another blurb about the fest...

I played the Grand Letar when Paul brought it to ISGC the year he acquired it. It's like playing a huge piece of illuminated glass.
Should be an interesting lecture. Have fun, TC. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |
