Just got mine. I definitely like it better than the el Capistan. Its not as pristine sounding and is simpler to use. _________________ Emmons PP, Mullen G2 and Discovery |

My favorite!I use it every day in the studio!Closest thing to my gray EP-2...
Catalinbread also has a plate reverb pedal that I use live on electric guitar...
"Talisman"...great for that James Burton reverb sound on"Tulsa Queen",etc...
Reverb is the thing I miss most...the old records I listen to were all hosed down with an EMT plate reverb...

I'm jumping on the bandwagon here - but I have and use a Belle Epoch - all the time. Sometimes just by itself or with amp reverb. It's still not my EP-3 - nothing compares to tape - but also nothing compares to the money I spend on the care and the feeding of my Echoplex, either. I'm sure you all have seen the Belle Epoch Deluxe for $329.99 - a great deal. They also sell just the pre-amp section.

The shop where I work has had a bunch of vintage Echoplexes in lately so I've been getting really familiar with what they sound like. The Belle Epoch sounds pretty much in the ballpark to me. It's not "the real thing" but there's quite a bit of variation in how the real ones sound. I gig with the Belle Epoch and am satisfied with it. |

I love the Belle Epoch for PSG. I also use their Topanga spring reverb. If the Talisman reproduces plates like that does springs, I may have to get one of those too.

'Nother thumbs up for the Belle Epoch here. Now and then it sounds a tad dark to me and if I want something brighter, I just use my old AD9 instead. |

really ? AD-9 is brighter ? I would have guessed that was a dark delay. Maxon or Ibanez ? _________________ Emmons PP, Mullen G2 and Discovery |

Ibanez. But remember, those pedals can vary a lot. I once bought one to have as a back up and I returned it because it was super dark. I just happen to have one that's unusually bright. |
