Mike is a great player and a great representative for GFI. It seems like he never takes a break at steel shows - he's either on stage or playing in the GFI room by the hour and is always available to answer questions, visit with steel players, or jam. I've always admired his aggressive style - he steps right up and kicks it with tunes like "Pick Me Up On Your Way Down" to open his sets.

I play a GFI student model, but am quite pleased. When my psg teacher plays it, the tone sounds great to me. I'm quite green so my technique isn't up to par yet, but I do love the GFI sound. The single finger changing system on the student model leaves something to be desired (tuning is always going out) but it's a student model. I am happy with it, for now! Smile
