Any interest in some older violins? I just acquired a lot of 9 old European violins to liquidate for a living estate.
The best one is an Ernst Heinrich Roth model 1068 from 1958.
There are two with fancy purfling on the back. One is a nicely made "strad" model with nice curly maple and has machine heads. If anyone is interested, contact me. If I sell any through the Forum, Bob will get his commission.
Day phone (607), 865 - 5670.

This is a German made violin in very nice condition. Somebody installed machine heads on it. They do tune easily and do not slip like conventional pegs can. It is nicely made and in very clean condition. Honestly, it is a bit on the heavy side and coudl benefit from regraduation. It comes with an older but serviceable shaped wood case and an Anton Schroetter wood bow with new hair. I do not know how many years the hair has been on the bow, it was never rosined...
THIS VIOLIN SOLD

Thias violin is labeled Jofephus Match, Albani. We cleaned it, glued open seams, installed a new peg, tail gut, chin rest and Pro-Arte strings. It is light weight, sounds decent, and has no cracks. The top is crazed and does not shine. There are scratches on the back. Violin only in a shipping case (not pretty but solid). $250.00 plus $35 shipping. Make me an offer...

This is the most interesting violin... In my 30+ years in this business I have never seen one like it. The inscription on the back loosely translates "While alive I was silent, Now dead I sing." The violin is sound, no cracks, no bushed pegs, and has a nice voice. We cleaned it, set it up with new Pro-Arte strings, new tail gut and chin rest, and glued any open seams. Asking $895 for the violin only, plus $35 shipping. Will be carefully packed and shipped in a used violin case, no pretty but solid. Make me an offer...

This is an older "Strad" model, as received. It has top finish flaws. a bushed "A" peg, and had a sound post back crack repaired some time ago. Shipping $35. Make an offer... I glued an open seam in this violin yesterday, tuned it up today with the strings that are on it and it sounds good and is now solid. Make me an offer...

This is a light weight violin, old, with some repaired cracks on the top. It has a nice inlaid design on the back. We glued any open seams and cleaned it, it is ready to set up and play. "A" peg has been bushed but works well. Since posting, I set this violin up with new Pro-Arte strings, tail piece, new bridge, and Sacconni Tail gut. It sound great, big full tone.
Make an offer. It is labeled Freidr. Wilh. Guthman. $35 shipping. THIS VIOLIN HAS BEEN SOLD.

This violin is a J. Guarnerius model, as received from the estate. It has a top crack which appears to be repaired, and the number 1705 is scratched on the back heel of the neck. It has fancy pegs that I have never seen before. The G peg has one edge broken off. Violin is a little heavy.
Make an offer. $35 shipping
