Hello.
It`s been a lomg time since I have posted anything new, so here is my latest effort recording the lovely tune "For ever loving you" from Tom Brumleys`CD in time, using the original backing tracks Tom sent me one time. Hope you like it!Pictures are from a festival round we did this summer.

Egil, beautiful, masterful, with glorious tone and touch. Thanks for sharing with us. I will be sending to all my friends. I hear tone and moves similar to Lloyd Green, and that is a compliment to your playing. Thanks, Lonnie

Egil, that was beautiful... I hear a lot of Lloyd Green in your playing... Don’t know if that’s what you were going for, maybe you just naturally play that, but really doesn’t matter... that beautiful from touch to tone... Thank-you

Wow! Thanks alot for your nice comments all of you. Yes, I can say that I am absolutely inspired by both Tom Brumley and Lloyd Green. Tom was probably the first pedal steeler I ever heard with Buck Owens, and later i Got a couple of Lynn Anderson LP`s on the Chart label with lots of Lloyds playing on them. Their style, sound and what they played have been with me ever since. However, I do make my own tunes and try to sound like me,haha, but you are right, their influense has absolutely had a great impact on me. Tom was in Norway twice and we became good friends, as did Lloyd, so I am proud to call them friends as well. I have new original songs in the making and hope to post them as well when they are ready. Thanks for your feedback. If someone sent me an email, I have a new mail adress, egil.skjelnes@gmail.com
There are quite a few things on youtube if you will like to check out more while you wait for the new ones.
Regards, Egil.
