A friend of mine in San Diego is starting a new countryish band and is looking for a pedal steel player.
I was in a band with Brian many years ago in SF called the McAllisters. He writes great songs and does some deep album classic country covers - "I've Been Everywhere" or "Long Black Veil" instead of "Folsom Prison Blues"
At this point they are just getting started - there is bass, drums, and a singer-guitarist. Should be plenty of sonic space for a pedal steel.
They're not looking for a studio pro shredder, just someone with decent intonation and an understated style. This would be a great chance for someone to get some low-stress playing time in a band of nice guys playing good country music.
