PLEASE CLOSE b0b.
I may open later when I am more healthy and a friend can help me pack and ship. Super guitar but it is heavy.. thanks.
The ZB is in excellent condition and is spotted with incredible birdseye maple; the blue has changed to a blueish-grey color, not unusual for blue guitars over time Moorhead. MN
Underside is extremely clean. Please note the tooled swirls in the aluminum The case has been through the wars though it protects the guitar well. The sun decal on the front peels off.
The are 6 levers in all and 8 pedals
I have been an EBAY member since 1999 and have 100% positive feedback for nearly 200 transactions, many of which were for instruments. Please check out my feedback particularly withr but regard to packing; my user name : Iztvan
Also a Steelguitarforum member since 1999)
Thanks for looking, stevet

Beautiful guitar Steve, someone is really going to get a fine ZB. What technique is used to get the swirl pattern on the pickup housings? |

Yeah, Mike, someone did nice work putting on those swirls. I found this on EHow so I hope it helps if you are going to try this. Perhaps someone who has done this can add his/her expertise.
Thanks for the comments, Mike. steve t

Beauty!! Steve. You're breaking my heart with this one. One of the best looking guitars I've ever seen.
You guys can't ask for a better guy to deal with Steve. We've traded several times. Always a good deal. |

Hiya, Bill,
Thank you for the shout out about this ZB. I have reservations about keeping it on the market but need to clear some space. I have a few other D 10 keyed steels listed and others I will also be listing.
After 22 years in Beijing my wife and I will be moving back to the ND area and our half of a duplex has not grown any larger in our absence.
All the best,
Steve |

Steve, It has that same ZB logo like the one I sold you. The wood work almost looks like it could have been from some of that same stock from that prototype I sold you. Note the front apron. It looks like flamed maple just magnificent. The two tone work is what really makes this one shine. The lacquer work is stellar. It has that deep layered look. This one might be one of the TX made guitars. But clearly some of the best flat bar mechanics. ZB had some really good work going on with these. This flat bar type is the smoothest ever of all the ZBs I've tinkered with. Like Fulawka smooth, in my opinion. Probably zero cabinet drop. This is one Beautiful Guitar. Guys if you are looking for some classic pedal steel sounds etc, this is it. Wonderfully preserved ZB. Blast from the past. Wish I had the extra bucks for it Steve.

Correction, I am not so sure the top isn't the very same flamed maple as that prototype I sold you Steve. Look at the pattern. No doubt from some of the same wood, in my opinion. I just love these old guitars. AND so you are finally going to become a mid-westerner again. LOL!

Hiya, Bill,
This ZB, being advertised, I prchased from another Forum member BUT years back I bought a similar ZB with the logo which is the same as the one which I think I got from you. The wood on that earlier steel like this one looks "very lively" if I can use that description. The sound, to my ears, is full and rich.
Fortunately, I still have one more. D-10 ZB left which is staying put. Paul Redmond totally redesign the underside using pa combined with those of Joe Kline. See here:

Thanks for your input Bill. Always good to get that from a guy who has worked on steels of all sorts for a few decades. Steve t |

J. R. And Bill C., Thanks for the positive comments about the ZBs. There are indeed many guitars out there which sound special and , play and look great. In my opinion, ZB steels can hangmout with the best of them. I have have owned Zumsteel, Mullens, Emmons, EMC!, Mooney, Lamar, Kline, GFi, Excel, Williams, Sierra, and ETS.
Thanks,
Stevet

Looks beautiful Steve. If I were not approaching old age and have a bad shoulder, I’d be happy you buy it at your price...but alas it is the way of things. Oh well, we will always have the Detlef files. Your ZB looks like the real deal.
In any event, best of luck on the sale, and I hope that I understand this correctly, welcome back to the US.
