Other artists who did this song, all with steel:
Wanda Jackson - 1976 lp Make Me Like A Child Again - Weldon Myrick on steel.
Willie Wynn & The Tennesseans - 1975 lp Presenting. No players listed.
The Thrasher Brothers - 1975 lp Heart To Heart - also no players listed.
The Jackson lp is a very hard find and Weldon plays some real nice stuff on it. _________________ Rebel |

That's right Erv, the KJV reads it like this:
Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. _________________ Email: azpedalman@gmail.com

Fred,
Yes, you are right, you need the King James version.
There are also a couple of other references to "an instrument of 10 strings" in Psalms:
Psalms 92:3
and Psalms 144:9
Keep steelin' for the Lord! |

My mom used to sing this song when she and dad sing in a quartet. Beautiful song. I believe Weldon played on a lot of the Florida Boys records. Great playing as always from Weldon.

This song is a true blessing, I have been enjoying it! It is great to be able to learn it, and to play for the Lord. I have a lot of respect for Weldon's playing, and have many of the earlier Florida Boy's LP's, and others, and there's plenty of great steel on them.
Kind regards

The tenor singer on the Florida Boys album singing Scars in the hands of Jesus, was Laddie Cain. Beautiful Tenor voice. He later did some background vocals for Squire Parsons. |

I remember years ago. Freddie Hart, wrote and sang a song, called "The Scars On Jesus Christ". It is a beautiful and I still have the cassette. He done a great job on it. _________________ Zum U-12, Carter SDU-12, Zum Encore, Emmons S-10, Emmons D-10, Nashville 400, Two Peavey Nashville 112, Boss Katana 100, Ibanez DD700, Almost every Lesson Jeff Newman sold.
