I wish I had time to listen to all of it right now. I love the shuffles etc, but after an entire weekend of shuffles, and waltzes, I think I will come back Monday for more of this. , I'll need something to clear my head? This ought to do it. lol That dude rocks on steel! So very cool! |

Jana, let me know what you think when get a chance to listen to this stuff. I just think this is great. I am a huge fan of classic country and steel, but this stuff is so much fun and it is great to see the steel featured so prominently. _________________ John Brabant

Hi John. I just finished listening to "all" of it. Ha, I kind of cranked it up, kicked back in the rocker I use while practicing dobro, put my feet up on my pac-a-seat, and wel, just got completely lost in the music. It's been a while since that has happened. The steel was great. There was a little of everything, imo, country, jazz, rock, and blues. Does it get any better than that? You know that you are listening to great music when, you can close your eyes and the rest of the world just goes away...there's nothing but the sounds you are hearing...so cool.
I had heard of all these guys before, but wasn't really all that familiar with any of them. I really enjoyed it.
For several weeks, I have been considering singing some CCR tunes, and seeing what I could do with them on dobro. I've gotten some encouragement from a couple of the guys, in different bands, I sing, and play with, along with some suggestions. Hearing this, well, the inspiration has hit, and what the heck? lol I see the bad moon a risen, I see....ought to be a really nice change from "Satin Sheets", and "Once A Day". lol
Thanks John for posting this. Really, very cool. Enjoyed it. |

Barry plays some good stuff. I just wish someone would take away his Envelope Filter when he plays lead arm pit guitar. A little goes a long way. |
