Join me Thursday Nov. 20th at 4pm eastern , streaming "Live" on YouTube, for a special edition of "Steelin Techniques". On this edition we will do a workshop on my YouTube video of Together Again. This tune has something for everybody. First time thru I played it where most of us would. Second time I played a more chordal style on the low register. Finally I played the last time thru with that high Hughey crying style that made the steel guitar what it is. Watch LIVE or when ever you want to.

Listen to video..

Tabbed Worksheets ,back-up track and the YouTube link to the video of the Together Again Workshop.

I am trying to figure out what went wrong with this exchange...

The "If you are scared..." part makes me think that maybe William thought I was concerned that maybe he was trying to do something shady. I have re-read my initial note and I can't find any expression of being scared or anything like that, so maybe I am wrong about that. Also the "it don't matter to me I can play Together Again" is peculiar. I don't know what to make of that.

I received my money back. Is the workshop still being made available?

Hey William
I am signed on for the workshop. I am excited as I like the way you play it and it is much better than my way of playing it..
I gotta say if you really want to learn this song then join in on November 20th at 4 pm. It will be fun and very instructional. I have learned alot from William and learn more every day.

William,

Am I signed up for your workshop? It isn't clear to me if I am on the outs for asking the question that I asked. I really feel like you took it the wrong way. I can't come up with an interpretation of your "it don't matter to me I can play Together Again" other than one that is you responding with a bit of hostility because you thought I was out of line. I assure you, I meant no trouble in my note. Please read it again. If you think I was out of line then I will just have to move on and let it go. I was being sincere when I thanked you for your videos and I was only asking a question about the links. When the redirect failed I have no way of knowing what the redirect was supposed to take me to. My question was just to ask if we were all set, or if I missed any relevant information when the redirect failed. I have re-read my note several times and I can't see how you misinterpreted anything there, but I fear that you did. I come in peace, really. If you can give my note a second read and feel any differently, then please accept my apology and I will move on.

Once again... All the best.

I think one of the best things about the 'one song steelin technique workshop' is how you can learn to add different improvisations into a song. William's unique attention to detail is just incredible. The parts where he says 'you can do this or you can do that or let's see how this sounds...' really shows you that there is no right way to play this song and that the best versions are the most creative versions. Heck, some of those chord patterns were just so creative and subtle. I wouldn't have thought to use the 234 string 5th fret 5L55 to 5LL55 to 5LL55B sequence change in the progression. Really really cool sounding!

It was an outstanding workshop and I can hardly wait for the next one .. Hope it is soon.. I only wish some one had taught me some of these really nice sounding runs and fills and I guess I could say tricks of the trade, a long time ago.
Thank you and it was worth much more than you charged..
Looking forward to the future because the past is gone.. Thanks again
Darrell and all the people that listen to him.. Smile.
