As a thief has relieved me of my WW2 era stand I need another. Quite some time ago there was a post on the forum about a fellow that was making stands.. I have searched but cant fin the post Any help is appreciated

That would be the forum's own Mark Roeder, see his website at http://deluxe34.com for more. I recently got one of his stands (overseas shipping to Germany, mind you, with no problem at all), and am a happy camper all the way. Very nice gent to deal with, too. Look no further, is my recommendation.
