Selling a 1953 Gibson Southern Jumbo
Excellent condition for it's age
i mean this guitar is top notch
has not ridden the rails
no bangs, no cracks
this guitar has a full, rich & responsive sound
smaller , finer C shaped neck
Frets are very good
other than newer Kluson tuners it's all original - no mods
has some checking on the finish
B Band transducer included
case is not original - GC
5600 € - add shipping

Crowbear that is one gorgeous Southerner Jumbo.
Makes me wish I had never let mine go. Bought it new for I believe $179.00 plus the case cost.
I can still hear that gorgeous mellow bass that told me I had to have that Guitar when the shop owner took it off the wall and strummed a few chords for me.
Talk about "Music to your ears"!!! I was 15 years young and that was 68 years ago but as I said I can still hear that sound. Acoustic purity ahead of it's time. Just my personal opinion.
If I win the lottery I will buy that Baby tomorrow.

Yes, it is really a rich sounding guitar in wonderful condition considering it's age
i know it's pricy it's the current market value imo
i would rather see it go to a player than just a collector |

Most of the Everly Brothers' early records were cut with Don playing one of these and not, as is generally believed, an SJ-200. (Don's rhythm playing was strongly featured on those sides.)
