Finding the right STYLE

Post by Steve English »

How many of you spend hours combing through the styles trying to find the right one for your application?

I think that's the hardest part of using BIAB. With the all the new style releases it just gets harder. I often wish for a more simple style for country ballads. It seems the bass line gets carried away sometimes. I'm experimenting with hybrid styles and creating a style from a MIDI track, but just can't find enough hours in the day between work and play.

OK......attitude adjustment....my wife just slapped me upside the head....

What I meant to say was, I'm going to try to find the time to modify a dozen styles to suit my needs. A couple of waltzes, shuffles, straight fours, 2/4, etc., all very simple and no toms or cymbals.

I'll be quite now...

When I browse through the styles, I just mark the ones I think have potential (but are not needed yet) as a favorite. The next time I just browse through 2 dozen of favorites as opposed to a gazillion of styles.

I notice when a style is highlighted, there is a little box to the right that gives one or more familiar songs as examples. It would be helpful to have a search box that would you could enter an example song into, and it would pull up those similar styles. i.e. "Right or Wrong",,,or "Sugar Moon",,,etc
