Deleting old MS updates?

Is it ok to delete some old MS update files? Do i need C++ ? I know this has been discussed before, but couldn't understand all of the process.

I usually keep my Hotfix Installer files until the next Windows Update, then if nothing has gone wrong, I delete them using CCleaner.

After you delete the installers, you cannot uninstall a Windows update.

You may have programs installed, especially Microsoft programs, that require C++ libraries.
